The wine matured for 10 months in new French andAmerican oak barrels. It perfectly suits with grilled meat, roast lamb, fits with the post,and cheeses.
Vetmors Charles (Charles Wetmore), XIX century California wine pioneer, from theBordeaux region of France imported Cabernet Sauvignon seedlings to be planted in their vineyards of Livermore Valley. This wine samples for the University of Californialater chose his foundation plants, and these are known as 7th and 8. clone. Today Venta family handled more than 400 acres (160 ha) of vines with just these twoCabernet Sauvignon clones. Due to hilly terrain, well-irrigated soil and uniquemicroclimate, Southern Hills vines are an excellent Cabernet Sauvignon cultivation fornearly ideal conditions.
